After researching several consulting services to help me get into my target schools, I realized after my initial chat with Emily and Vince that Military MBA was the perfect choice for a military vet like me! Vince took a holistic and tailored approach to each application and provided candid feedback throughout the entire process. Despite countless resume and essay edits, Vince persisted until he was confident that the material we were submitting was authentic, unique, and truly represented my story. Thanks to Vince and Military MBA Consulting, I not only gained acceptance to my target school but also received a full tuition scholarship! I genuinely could not have achieved this without Vince’s support and expertise. If you’re a veteran considering taking the MBA leap and seeking dedicated support and expertise along the way, look no further than Military MBA Consulting!
I cannot emphasize how critical MBA Military Consulting was to my MBA successes and how much I enjoyed with Emily. As an applicant with a below-average GMAT/GRE and an average GPA, I had my work cut out for me. Emily worked with me to skillfully identify a coherent and strong personal narrative, emphasizing the holistic nature of the MBA admissions process to maximize the strengths in my profile. Throughout the application process, Emily also gave me relevant advice for interviews and follow-on essays, as well as connecting me with other knowledgeable people to best set me up for success. My results were, by all accounts, a tremendous success and a testament to Emily’s touch: I received acceptances to HBS, Tuck, Darden, Ross, McDonough, and Tepper. I am supremely confident I wouldn’t be going to HBS in the Fall, or have received acceptances at numerous other schools, if it were not for Emily. Additionally, after decisions were released, Emily gave me sage perspective and continuous support, critical to help me navigate choosing the best school for me. This post-decision support was, for me, almost as impactful as any application help that I received. From one Veteran to another – you are truly missing out on maximizing your full potential by not working with Emily. Her approach and results speak for themselves, and she was truly a joy to work with from start to finish.
When I began the MBA application process, one of the first questions I wrestled with was: do I hire an admissions consultant? I ultimately decided to, and I’m thrilled that I got the chance to work with Vince.
Having Vince as an admissions consultant was such an advantage because as a Navy veteran, he was able to picture what my military career looked like and really helped me bring my experiences to life in my applications. With all of my time away on deployment during the admissions process, he consistently worked around my entire schedule with rapid response rates and was there as a coach and mentor every step of the way.
Vince took the time to get to know me, learn what makes me tick, find out what my strengths/weaknesses were, and helped me develop my story to differentiate myself. Not only did he provide critical feedback on my essays, resume, and GMAT prep, but he also taught me how to network more effectively to become the best possible candidate. Ultimately, despite having a well-below-average GPA and GMAT score, I was admitted to numerous T15 programs including an M7.
If you have the same debate I initially had about whether to hire an admissions consultant or not, I promise that you will not regret working with Vince and Military MBA Consulting!
I had an amazing experience working with Emily. Her expertise and guidance helped me to craft a clear story and communicate that message in my applications and interviews. Emily’s services are worth every penny; I got accepted to my #1 school and I’m confident that I wouldn’t have been nearly as successful without her help. I’ve recommended Emily to several of my friends and strongly encourage all military MBA applicants to contact her and see what she has to offer.
I often get asked whether hiring an admissions consultant is worth the money. However, I can tell you that working with Emily and Military MBA consulting was the best decision and investment I’ve made since leaving the Military. Aside from her internal drive and commitment to helping Veteran’s, Emily has an artful ability in crafting your life skills and experiences into a compelling narrative that will serve you well with any future MBA program. Ultimately Emily’s value was proven in the results. It is no secret that standardized testing is arguably the most important part of an MBA application, and unfortunately, I never scored higher than a 620 OG GMAT. However, due to Emily’s ability to assist me in communicating my value, I was accepted by an M7 program and two other Top Ten MBA programs. There is no doubt that Emily was an integral part of these results, and I will be forever thankful for her sage advice and commitment to helping me every step of the way. Lastly, Emily did a great job connecting me with others in her firm who attended my target schools, which helped immensely with interview preparation.
Jackie made my MBA application process so much easier. Any questions or doubts I had she was always there with an answer and helped me put together applications I was proud of. I had a few difficult topics I wanted to address in my application and she helped me every step of the way. I ended up being admitted to a M7 and multiple T15s with her help, even with a 3.0 undergrad GPA. Jackie is worth the investment for every military MBA applicant!
Vince and Military MBA Consulting were the team I needed to help me get into the school of my dreams. Vince helped me immensely with translating my military experience to resonate with admissions committees. He was patient, methodical, and held me accountable to produce my best work amid an unpredictable, active-duty schedule. Vince worked with me on countless edits of my resume and essays offering incredible insight to maximize the entire application. He helped me with numerous mock interviews specific to each of my schools ensuring I had the best odds to get in – I wouldn’t have even been in the running had it not been for Vince! If you’re a veteran looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented MBA admissions coach, look no further. Vince is the one!
When I started my journey to apply for MBA programs, I knew it would be an uphill battle. Despite being considered “older” than most applicants, even among veterans, and having completed my degree online from a non-target school while serving in the military, Emily listened to my story, motivations, and goals. She provided me with guidance and mentorship that helped me craft a compelling narrative highlighting my true potential and what I could offer an MBA program. Thanks to her help, I achieved my dream of being admitted to a full-time MBA program that was perfect for me and my post-military career aspirations.
Emily did an amazing job throughout the application process, from helping me select which schools were a good fit for my goals, to tailoring my resume and helping me tell my military experiences through essays she offered great advice every step of the way. She not only helped me earn admission to multiple schools, but also helped me earn a scholarship to one of my top choices. I would recommend Emily to any veteran going through the MBA Application process.
Vince and Military MBA consulting were instrumental in my application process! He provided a very structured approach, allowing me to meet deadlines and balance active duty obligations. Having been through the process before, he knew exactly what it took to submit a successful application. From start to finish, he provided critical feedback on resumes, essays, and interview prep. Coming from a similar military background, Vince helped me find my voice and curate my story to help translate my military experiences – this is what distinguishes Military MBA consulting from other consultants. Even with time zone differences, Vince was only a text away from scheduling a call. Thanks to Vince’s guidance, I ended up getting accepted into a few M7’s and my dream school! Not only did he help me with the application process, he also gave advice for a seamless transition from military service (Veteran benefits – GI Bill, Yellow Ribbon, etc.). As a service member, their prices compared to competitors makes this a no-brainer!
If you are a military veteran serious about attending a top MBA program, working with Jackie is the best decision you can make.
With Jackie’s advice and recommendations, I was accepted into HBS, Wharton, Booth, and Kellogg, all schools I never thought possible. Jackie had an incredible talent for helping me translate my work experience into a meaningful story that highlighted the unique aspects of my military career into a concise narrative. She spent time getting to know me (and my family) and, in doing so, helped uncover aspects of my life that I could use to set myself apart from other well-qualified military veterans. Jackie was also incredibly prompt in providing essay feedback and resume edits. I was trying to complete my applications while working full-time in the Army and raising a family, so she worked quickly within my timeline to help me prepare well-rounded applications. From school selection, resume revisions, essay brainstorming, application short answers, and mock interviews, Jackie helped me achieve results I never thought possible. If you are on the fence about hiring a consultant to help with applications, take advantage of Jackie’s 30-minute consultation, and you will hear firsthand how she genuinely cares about helping you achieve your potential.
The night prior to submitting my application to Harvard Business School, Emily texted me, expressing, “I believe we need to tweak a section of your essay—it lacks the compelling edge.” We promptly scheduled a call, collaboratively fine-tuning the content. Four months later, I was accepted to Harvard Business School. This instance exemplifies her unwavering commitment to the success of her clients.
I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Emily for her unwavering support and expertise throughout my MBA application journey. Emily’s ability to provide the tools for success and mentorship was instrumental. Emily guided me with precision and her insights on highlighting my experiences resonated with admissions committees, leading to acceptances at Harvard Business School, Kellogg, and Booth.
What sets Emily apart is her commitment to translating military experience into a compelling narrative. Her guidance extended from crafting a quality resume to developing my overall personal narrative, and finally, to preparing me to standout in interviews. Emily’s support during test score improvement was crucial, instilling the confidence I needed to apply to my dream schools. Her promptness and the quality of feedback surpassed any other resources I utilized, making Military MBA Consulting the standout choice.
I was initially hesitant about using a consultant, but Emily’s deep insight and patient guidance dispelled any doubts. Her support not only secured my acceptance into my top-choice program, Harvard Business School, but also provided clarity on my MBA goals and a deeper understanding of myself.
Emily’s role in my application to a top-choice MBA program was truly indispensable. Her ability to recognize how my military experience could shape my application story, coupled with her quick responses and excellent feedback, made all the difference. Without her encouragement and expertise, my acceptances would not have been possible.
To those contemplating whether to connect with Emily, my advice is simple: Just do it! The value she brings is immeasurable, and her expertise is a game-changer. I’m incredibly thankful for her support and couldn’t recommend her more enthusiastically.
Like many, I hesitated to hire a consultant. You hear horror stories of how little a consultant will actually do and then you see the price tag you’d be out on if everything went bad; however, this was not the case with Jackie. Jackie was there every step of the way during the application process. As others have attested to, she knows how to translate military experience for civilian readers, she has an innate ability to help craft narratives and highlight key events from your story for adcoms, and she will prepare you for your interviews to make sure you bring home the thing we all desire – an acceptance letter! On some level, I expected these things from a consultant (and Jackie definitely delivered). What I did not expect was how Jackie went above and beyond by sending articles on schools, keeping track of online admissions events to sign up for, and helping me understand the MBA landscape. Military MBA Consulting is the only firm I would trust to help me through the MBA process as a Veteran, and Jackie is top-notch. I cannot emphasize enough how much better my application was with Jackie’s help. I was admitted to my top choice in the EA round (Darden) and invited to interview by the other three schools I applied to before pulling my applications (Ross, Fuqua, McCombs). If you are on the fence still, just take the leap because I promise she will not disappoint.
I am immensely grateful to Jackie for her pivotal role in my admission to Wharton’s MBA program. As a military professional, articulating my experiences in a way that resonated with the admissions committee was challenging. Jackie expertly translated my military accomplishments into a compelling narrative and magnified my strengths to mitigate my academic shortcomings. Her intuitive understanding of my journey and strategic approach transformed my applications into authentic and persuasive submissions, effectively communicating my potential to the admissions committee. Jackie was more than a consultant; she was a mentor and advocate, helping me find my unique voice amidst a competitive applicant pool. Her expertise was invaluable in navigating this challenging process, ultimately unlocking the door to my dream school.
Jackie was the key to my success in applying to business school with successful admissions to both top programs I applied to: Fuqua (70K scholarship) and Darden (75K scholarship). When I started considering how to apply to MBA programs, I felt completely overwhelmed. I had no practical idea how to translate my skills and experience into a product that would resonate with business school selection committees. Jackie was the answer to my problem. She brought incredible expertise to this convoluted process through which she had recently been herself and guided many other veteran applicants. She approached every step of the process with great organization and structure and helped me understand my value to each program while helping me to tailor my approach in ways that drastically increased my competitiveness. Jackie singlehandedly acted in turns as guide, strategist, coach, and interpreter to help navigate this complex process and helped me turn an ambiguous plan into a focused, hard-hitting narrative that we built the application packages around. Jackie truly set her apart through her genuine interactions and caring that she demonstrated through the process. Every time I felt impostor syndrome set in, Jackie was there to remind me of the skills, value, and character that I represented to not only the schools but also the firms that recruited at those schools. I will never forget the night I dialed into a practice interview with Jackie, and she was dressed in business formal and ready to walk me through the process. This showed her commitment to going the extra mile to achieve superior results. I couldn’t have found a better consultant and partner on this journey. Jackie and I have remained in touch (now several years since I applied to schools), and she continues to be as ardent a supporter and cheerleader as ever. If you are a veteran applying to business school, your choice is clear and easy: work with Jackie Callahan.
I worked with Jackie while applying for full time MBA programs starting in 2022 while getting ready to transition out of the military and having a job that was highly demanding. I had a stellar career in the military but lackluster academic performance in undergrad and knew I needed extra help for admission to top business schools. Jackie’s way of crafting stories, listening to my needs and constant positivity made all the difference. I would not be where I am today without her. Most importantly, she gets to know you and your story so that she can advise you on the best product to put in front of ADCOMs. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and I know many others have had the same phenomenal experience and result! Hire her!
Jackie was an invaluable resource in navigating the intimidating process that is the MBA Application. As a naval officer, I had absolutely no idea how to communicate my military journey to the admissions committee or what a good resume looked like. I had lots of doubts about my ability to make it to an M7 program. Jackie helped me show the value of my military service in the civilian world and what kind of value I would bring to the MBA program. If you are a fellow veteran keeping yourself from applying to the top programs in the world: stop, and talk to Emily and Jackie.
Jackie was instrumental in everything step of my application process. Was extremely responsive, thorough and overall amazing to work with! Has an amazing ability to help us transitioning military members verbalize and convey our prior service in a meaningful and impactful way to admissions teams. Cannot recommend enough!
Emily frankly gave me the tools to succeed and the mentorship to execute in a very tight timeline. I started my transition/decided to pursue an MBA in R3 this year – having not taken/studied for any standardized test. Emily gave me a clear picture of how I could highlight my experiences in a way that would resonate with the admissions committees. She provided guidance throughout the application process and quickly responded to my questions. Despite my late start, R3/R4 applications, and below-average test scores, I was admitted to Fuqua, Stern, and Ross. I would not have been able to do this without Emily’s help.
Quite frankly, I cannot praise Emily’s guidance, support and patience enough. I needed an expert to provide the resources and feedback for applying to top MBA programs and Emily delivered on every front. From helping me translate my unique military experience into a quality resume, to developing my overall personal narrative, and countless essay revisions, Emily provided me all the tools that I needed to apply to top MBA programs. I also am so thankful for the support and encouragement that she gave me while I was working on raising my test scores, which gave me the confidence I needed to apply to my dream schools. No other resource I utilized (MBA Veteran’s clubs, Service2School, etc.) provided anywhere close to the same level of promptness and quality as Emily did. Her prior experience as an AdCom member really pays dividends with her feedback during interview preparation, essay edits, or even application data form questions. Once again, I can’t say enough about the value of her services and know that my acceptance into HBS would not have been possible without her support. I’ve already referred several veteran friends to her, and will continue to do so in the future due to the numerous success stories that she constantly produces.
Emily was crucial for my application success this cycle! With a below-average GPA and GRE score, I was nervous that I wouldn’t have much success this applicant cycle, but Emily helped me craft my story, provided invaluable advice, and translated my military experience! Emily was the best coach, guide, and mentor for me as I navigated the difficult MBA application process. The results speak for themselves! I was accepted into Darden, Fuqua, Tuck, and my dream school, MIT Sloan! These results were way beyond my expectations, and I cannot recommend Emily enough. If you’re a transitioning veteran applying to MBA programs, Military MBA Consulting is THE way to go!
I cannot recommend Emily highly enough! Her expert guidance and support were instrumental in helping me secure a place in my target program. From the very beginning, Emily’s professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail stood out. She was always available to answer my questions, provide insightful feedback on my application, and offer valuable advice on every aspect of the MBA admissions process. Emily’s expertise, personalized approach, and work ethic truly made a difference, and I’m grateful for her help in achieving my goals. I could not have done this without her. Thank you, Emily!
Emily is the REAL DEAL. From our first phone call, Emily was always there to assist, motivate, and guide me through the daunting application process. With Emily’s help, I was admitted into my top choice MBA program, although I had a below-average GPA/GMAT. Simply put, if you are a veteran applying for an MBA, there is no better consultant to work with than Emily.
Emily helped me get into my target b-school through mentorship, compassion, and tough love. I cannot say enough about her! If someone/vets have questions about her services please reach out to me on Linkedin.
Although I was initially hesitant about the idea of using a consultant for my Navy-to-MBA transition process, I have no doubt that I wouldn’t have gotten into my top choice MBA program without Emily’s deep insight of the process and patient guidance from start to finish. Emily positively impacted every single portion of my application process – identifying great-fit schools I hadn’t even considered applying to, helping me craft essays that were reflections of my most genuine self, and executing well-prepared interviews. She was a pleasure to work with, and the process left me not only headed to my top choice program with a clear understanding of what I wanted to get out of it, but with a better understanding of who I was as a person. I can’t recommend working with Emily enough!
I’m so incredibly grateful for Emily and her support throughout my application and acceptance in R3 to one of my top choice MBA programs!
Emily was able to truly recognize how I could use my 10 years of military experience to craft my story for my application. I was on a condensed timeline due to a last-minute decision that an MBA was right for me as I decided to transition out of the military.
Emily quickly responded to all of my questions and gave me excellent feedback. She found a way for me to dig deeper in each of my essays and short answers to highlight how I was ready to take on the challenges of business school.
She was encouraging throughout the whole process and I couldn’t have been accepted without her! I’m very thankful for her expertise and if you’re reading this and wondering if you should set up a phone call with her, you should just do it!!! It’s so worth it, I promise!
Emily is a great resource and coach for military veterans! She helped coach me through my transition from the Navy to business school and I was accepted to my top choice MBA program. If you are a military veteran l highly recommend working with Emily!
Emily was quite simply amazing. From our initial phone conversation I could tell that she would not only provide me guidance on my application but also be my Sherpa through a difficult transition from the military. Her attention to detail, extensive knowledge of the MBA admissions process, and willingness to challenge me during my application process made all the difference. Emily is THE consultant for your MBA application.
Transitioning from the military is tough but making your experiences relatable to academics is even tougher. Emily’s no BS approach helped me identify and articulate how my experiences “fit” various MBA programs. She’s very supportive, timely, and organized. I could not have asked for a better person to walk through the application process with and I’m thankful for her help.
Emily was a tremendous resource during my application process. We began working 6 months before I submitted my apps. Her thought-provoking starter documents about your background and experiences were a great starting point.
She provides honest and candid feedback on potential weaknesses in your application and more than anything helps you properly tell your story with each and every part of the application.
Her knowledge of what some schools value more than others is finely tuned, and she helps you determine which schools you think maybe a good fit for you. Her encouragement throughout the process was so helpful and makes an incredibly vulnerable process for the applicant seem much more comfortable. I would highly recommend you reach out to her for assistance!
Emily is an absolute professional of her craft. Every correspondence I had with Emily ended with actionable tasks or alternative outlooks that made the application process less overwhelming and much easier to manage. A tested, well-resourced consultant with deep industry knowledge and relationships, Emily’s cradle-to-grave approach instilled in me the confidence and competence of a high-quality deliverable. Her responsiveness, candor, and keen eye for the many subtle nuances of top MBA programs created a dynamic, iterative, and eye-opening learning experience for me. From day one, Emily made it clear that I was in control of every aspect of the application. She stressed the importance of being genuine and how she would not think, write, or say anything for me. Emily held me accountable for my work, which, in turn, made the application process a truly humbling and rewarding experience. As a military applicant, I believe this is what differentiates her. If you are willing to do the work, receive quality feedback, and trust the process, then Emily is your “go-to”.
After a friend told me about Emily, I immediately got in touch with her. I knew that I needed her to guide me through the entire process. Not only did she help me navigate the application process, but she also helped me select the right test to ensure I would have a competitive application and find the right b-school. It is clear that she is the best coach out there and understands the intricacies involved with each MBA program. In addition, because she has worked with many veterans, she made it easy to translate my military experience into my civilian resume. With Emily’s guidance, I was accepted into all six MBA programs I applied to, two of which were top 10! I cannot thank her enough for the amazing service she provided!
As a transitioning military applicant, I was initially unsure about where I stacked up amongst my peers when applying to top MBA programs. I wasn’t even sure how to even begin the process of applying. Emily guided me every step of the way, from targeting attainable schools to crafting and refining personal statements, to honing my interview skills. Emily was truly instrumental in providing a resource to bounce ideas off of and she made herself available whenever I needed help. Her accessibility, expertise, and patience were all greatly appreciated. I am certain that without her guidance and support I would not have been accepted to several of the top-25 MBA programs I applied to. As a veteran, if getting an MBA from a top program is one of your post-military goals, Emily is most certainly the best choice.
As a military applicant, Emily expertly guided me through the entire MBA admissions process, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. From talking through initial separation options to deciding between multiple admissions offers, Emily helped me at every step along the way. She truly partnered with me to identify target schools, craft my story, firmly develop goals, and rigorously prepare for interviews. She found ways to help me translate and describe my military experiences, ultimately crafting the strongest application possible.
With Emily’s guidance, I was admitted to 5 of the top 10 US MBA programs – a result well beyond my expectations which I attribute wholeheartedly to her expertise.
I wish I would have been recommended to Emily on my first MBA application journey in R2 2020, instead I applied solo and was put on the waitlist for all schools that I applied to which eventually tuned into non-admits. Then in summer of 2021, as I was gearing up to apply again to EA, I met Emily and everything changed. Before doing any writing, she helped me brainstorm and build a far more comprehensive approach to my application strategy which literally changed everything. Through thoughtful and thorough brainstorming exercises, Emily pushed me to tap into and reflect on some of the most difficult aspects of my upbringing and life story, ones that I would have never thought of on my own or view as relevant to use in my application. Through countless conversations and iterations, she challenged me to leverage them in a way that brought my story to life which I now realize is the reason I became an admit with a full-ride scholarship to Fuqua, my number one selected program. Additionally, through her process, tangentially, Emily helped me personally connect together my life story in an enlightening way that helped me grow. Emily is extremely kind and is brilliant when it comes to MBA application strategy, writing, and helping vets/applicants maximize their stories. She is there with you every step of the way and you’ll always know what your task is because of her unique process. You just have to follow it and be willing to put in the work. I can’t recommend Emily enough and I am extremely thankful I met her, she helped me accomplish one of my dream goals.
Emily was instrumental in me gaining admission to the Harvard Business School. She has a vast amount of knowledge about the process, understands how to bring out the best of every candidate, and had very competitive pricing with tremendous value. I was a transitioning Naval Officer with a lower GMAT and she helped me gain admission to 4 of the top 10 schools and provide a very effective blueprint for the entire process. I have recommended her to all of my friends and she has helped all of them achieve admission to a top 10 program, even with the incredibly competitive atmosphere of the pandemic. She is the consultant who can transform your application and help you achieve your transition goals and next steps.
I can’t do justice to the value of working with Emily. As an older MBA applicant and military retiree, I knew that I had an uphill climb in an unfamiliar environment with its own distinct approach and vocabulary. I had no practical idea how to translate my skills and experience into a product that would resonate with business school selection committees. Emily and her team acted in turns as guides, strategists, coaches, and interpreters to help navigate this complex process and helped me turn an ambiguous plan into a focused, hard-hitting narrative that we built the application packages around. The results speak for themselves, I was accepted and received large scholarships to both of the top programs I applied to. If getting a top MBA is part of your plan, you need to call Emily today!
