I began working at a consulting/professional services firm that is fairly large (40,000+ employees), but not an MBA feeder and more niche in the kind of work done. After early promotion, I moved to a Big 4’s consulting arm. I do a lot of cloud transformation work, not so much strategy. The firm is a major feeder for MBA’s, but I’m not sponsored.

Hi, it’s Nisha from mbaMission. You have a some great strengths to your profile – a fantastic GMAT that offsets your somewhat lower GPA, solid work experience (and progression early in your career), and meaningful community involvement. It’ll be important for you to secure strong recommendations (including at least 1 from your current firm) that point to your excellent performance/potential/growth, as this will help set you apart from the many other Big 4 applicants.
I’m very intrigued by your career goals in cloud services/AI/human-centric solutions. How did this become such a strong area of interest of yours? In any case, you’ll want to explain this in your applications – schools always want to deeply understand not just WHAT your goals are but also, WHY …

I’m sorry to see that CBS didn’t work out for you – that school can be a bit unpredictable. While Yale is quite competitive as well, I think that Tuck, Johnson, and Stern are great target schools. I would look into Michigan Ross as well because of its exceptional strengths in technology.
Hope that helps a bit – best of luck!
Hi, it’s Jennifer Jackson from Stratus Admissions. There’s a lot to like in your profile — high GMAT, good work experience and some good mentorship in your extracurriculars. You do have a softer GPA but economics is a more challenging major and your GMAT is so high it will certainly help mitigate the GPA. Your focus on human-centric solutions are interesting, so be sure to explain WHY or HOW you’ve come to that passion, which will help you connect the dots from what you’ve done to where you want to go post-MBA. I think your shot at Cornell will be higher than 40% since that GMAT will be very attractive to them. Good luck!
I think with such a high GMAT plus your great work experience, Yale will love you!
