As a young boy of 16 years I took up the challenge of successfully undertaking the Rotary International Youth Exchange program in Brazil. My first professional success that took place was in 2019 when I successfully completed 1.6 years at my first job as Management Trainee and got promoted to Duty Manager at the company’s iconic flagship hotel!
My current career goal is to become General Manager in a luxury brand hotel. My long-term goal is to manage several luxury hotels as an Area Manager so I can increase my sphere of influence to provide consistently client-centric experiences.

Hi Mr. Future Luxury Hotel Area Manager, From a pure snapshot like this I don’t believe that INSEAD is the right school for you at this point in time. Hi Mr. Future Luxury Hotel Area Manager, From a pure snapshot like this I don’t believe that INSEAD is the right school for you at this point in time. I’m assuming that the Rotary exchange to Brazil really opened your international horizons and I can understand why you’re attracted to a global programme. However, INSEAD’s more mature class tends to attract those a bit further ahead in their career, and even given their determination to widen the net on test scores, I think you will struggle to get a foot in the door with your GRE and GPA. Both of these fall some way short for most good programmes. It sounds to me like you are on a fast track at work and given the niche nature of your industry, perhaps staying put for a few years and progressing via that route makes most sense. Or, if you need to build out your skills more, maybe a more specified postgraduate hospitality programme might suit. But if you are set on the MBA route then I think a GRE retake is needed first. Wishing you the best of luck!
