Big Life Wins:
I was the first Master’s level Clinician to manage an Army mental health clinic in Europe. In my next role, I expanded a military-wide mental health program to Europe and Asia and successfully oversaw its implementation. I deployed to both Afghanistan and Iraq and provided mental health and medical support to troops, receiving multiple decorations.
Post MBA Goal:
I would like to leverage my MBA, and my experience as a behavioral health clinician, and administrator into a career in Corporate Social Responsibility. With the emergence of the ‘Me Too’ and ‘BLM’ movements, I want to be at the forefront in assisting private industry in making actionable changes that build a more inclusive corporate culture.

Hi Mr. Military Therapist, Kristen from MBA Prep School here. Firstly, thank you for your service, especially with regard to providing mental health resources to our servicemen and women. It sounds like you should have no problem weaving together a story of leadership and social good, and why an MBA is essential in order for you to bring about necessary changes. I do agree that the biggest obstacle you likely have is your amount of work experience. You will be far more senior than many of your hypothetical MBA classmates.
