Achieving high occupancy during my property management and marketing years. During my role as an advisor, providing support to students and achieving multiple awards and being nominated for Employee of the Year 2019.
Postgrad I am hoping to serve a mid-size or large organization in a brand management or consultant capacity. I would love to continue to promote social change and growth, so an organization that encourages or fights for those ideals would be at the top of my list. Eventually, I would love to start my own real estate investment firm and nonprofit.

Hi Mr. Murphy’s Law, this is Kate Richardson with mbaMission. With Jones in mind, I’m putting your odds pretty high, since they have a pretty healthy acceptance rate at around 37%. Assuming your total GRE is around 316 (?), I think that puts you in a good position with their 317 average. Your undergrad GPA is a bit low compared to their 3.4 average, but hopefully the marketing courses and GRE will mitigate that. Mostly I like your varied extracurriculars and commitment to education & social change. I also find the mix of experience you’ve had in real estate and education pretty unique / interesting and it sounds like you’ve had some strong accomplishments in both. I would spend a bit more time thinking about your goals and that narrative. Ideally pick one option in the short term (brand mgmt or consulting) and make sure that connects to the long-term goal too (right now I don’t quite see the linkage to real estate investment, but maybe it’s there). Kellogg and Booth will be more significantly more challenging but I feel good about your odds at Jones and your other targets. Good luck!
Mr. Murphy’s Law – Thanks for sharing your profile. Susan Cera here from Stratus.
I really like your odds for Rice Business. Assuming you shared just 1/2 of your total GRE you are in range. I presume that your softer stats will be overshadowed by a story that you have to share about your passions and the impact that you hope to make.
You would be well served to make your short-term goals a bit more crisp so you can back into the areas for development you need to address at Rice Business. That will allow you to dig into the specific resources from which you will learn as well as the clubs and initiatives you hope to engage in during your time in the program.
