Hi, Mr. Show Me the Numbers! Julie-Anne Heafey here with mbaMission. OK, so first of all- I am rooting for you and hope you will succeed. I am, however, a little bit worried about your application from reading this profile. To me, you seem rather unfocused and maybe not seeming totally ready for an MBA program (?). Maybe it’s just the format of the P&Q format, but I am not sure why you summarized yourself in the About Me as a lover of languages with a goal that seems to have nothing to do with that? If so, that’s a neat fun fact, but not the most important message you want to communicate for a professional program that is looking for people who are ready to fully take advantage of an expensive and challenging career pause. And how does your name relate– Mr. Show Me The Numbers– for a PM goal? So that makes me wonder about your applications and messaging. It doesn’t help that you are in such a competitive category (Indian engineers), and offer stats that are not outstanding for the program. Unfortunately, usually in your category, you need to be firing on all cylinders and knocking every element out of the park. So my advice for any schools you haven’t submitted to yet is to improve the stats you can, clearly communicate with logical messaging, and apply to a good range of reach, target and safety schools. I am crossing fingers for your success!
