I grew up in a small town in a Greek island, so one of my biggest wins is working my way to LBS and building a career in London as a first generation student. I also won McKinsey’s 1st Gen Achievement Award in 2020, awarded to high achieving young professionals or students that are the first in their family to attend university.
My experience as a first generation student made me realise that some systems were never designed to be inclusive. I want to further my career in fintech with a social focus (e.g. apps democratising saving) to empower people like my younger self.
