I am an Indian female engineer who worked in oilfields (land, offshore) in a crew comprised only of men. I rose from a mere field engineer to Project manager and client engagement coordinator role in the world’s biggest oilfield service provider. I resigned from my corporate job a few months ago and joined my family business – sugar factories.

My biggest win was during my first ever proper lengthy Himalayan trek – Roopkund. It was the day before reaching base camp and I got to see the first snowstorm in my life. In just a few seconds, the entire ground, mountain, sky, everything turned white, including me. Initially very frightened, I quickly recovered and led my entire team to safety.
Long term I want to expand my family business. I have seen and understood that business impacts lives and I want to empower the local villages in India. Short term – I want to learn general management and Finance by working in relevant big firms that will help me get to my final long term goal.
