Whatever your interests or career goals may be, it’s likely that the Online MBA (OMBA) program at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business will offer some way for you to explore and hone your passions. For students in the program, the OMBA provides a multitude of ways to personalize their MBA studies. From concentrations and specializations to electives and graduate minors, there’s an abundance of ways to tailor the experience.
CUSTOMIZATION GALORE What’s more is that students are able to complete the program on their own timeline. Drexel’s online MBA is 49 credits that are taken over the course of four, 10 week increments. According to the school, however, most students opt into a 24-month plan which involves completing classes in a lockstep, cohort fashion with other students. For those who require more flexibility, Drexel offers a second, non-cohort option wherein students take and complete classes at their desired speed. In short, the program is designed to be completed in as little as 18 months or a maximum of five years.
The curriculum focuses on helping students master the fundamentals of business while digging deep into areas that align with their interests and goals. Then, there are four concentrations offered: finance, marketing, business analytics, and entrepreneurship. Putting a bit of a spin on online MBA education, Drexel also provides students the option to add a graduate minor. Students can choose a minor or they can choose an area from another colleges within the university. Another way to customize the learning experience and get even more out of it is by doubling up through Drexel’s dual-degree options.

THREE IN-PERSON RESIDENCIES ADD HANDS-ON OPPORTUNITIES Another hallmark of the Drexel Online MBA curriculum: three in-person residencies, two of which are required and one that is optional. “Our part-time MBA program online features an on-campus residency, online mid-point consulting residency course, and optional — but highly recommended — international residency,” the program’s website states. “Residencies add hands-on activities and networking opportunities that most online programs don’t offer. Plus, you get to meet your colleagues face-to-face.”
