MSc International Health Management is a one-year, full-time program that provides the essential skills needed to springboard students into a management career in the global healthcare sector. The program uniquely combines business-focused teaching and cutting-edge research. Students will gain an overview of the UK health system and its application in a global context. The class contains a mix of recent graduates and experienced healthcare professionals from across the world, providing a truly international perspective. Together, through a mixture of modules, applied modules and projects, students learn how to put the latest academic thinking and business strategies into practice using real-life case studies.
The program has one intake each year in September.
Before starting the program, students will complete online pre-study modules giving a basic knowledge of areas which will be covered throughout the academic year. Core modules provide a solid knowledge base in each subject area. Initially the focus is on the principles of management, moving increasingly towards a focus on healthcare. In the summer term, students will consolidate and apply their understanding of the material so far, choosing specific aspects to pursue in greater depth.
