Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business Specialized Master in Finance (SMF) curriculum prepares students with the analytical and soft skills needed for successful professional careers in today’s global financial markets. Students can individualize their degree through elective coursework from four specializations then practice what they learn in the classroom through a Core Capstone Project and a Finance Consulting Practicum with real clients.
The STEM-designated Specialized Master in Finance (SMF) program is comprised of 30 semester hours of coursework over two semesters.
Required coursework gives students in-depth training in financial and quantitative analytical skills, and in developing teamwork and communication skills. Students have real-world learning opportunities through financial software training, program enrichment opportunities and project collaboration with industry professionals. Lastly, the program introduces principles of ethical and professional conduct.
