The Rotman Master of Management Analytics aims to give students the advanced data management, analytic, managerial and communication skills needed to become an analytical professional in only nine months.
The program was developed in consultation with analytic professionals in the industry who identified the need for graduates who excel at the technical aspects of analytics and who possess business acumen. Students can expect to become skilled in using analytical tools and techniques (Fall term) and then learn to apply the knowledge to managerial situations (Spring term).
The program starts with a four-week introduction term to analytics in management, and data-based management decisions. Bootcamps will cover tools such as SAS/SQL, R, Python.
During the second, 13-week Fall term the focus is on the analytical tools and techniques that are fundamental to a career in the field. The final 13-week Spring term will consider the application of analytics to solve management problems across different business areas.
A key component of the program is the Management Analytics Practicum where teams of two/three students tackle a real management problem set by one of the organizations we work with at Rotman. The practicum will start after the introductory term and will allow students to apply their learning in the classroom to real-world situations.
