The Master of Management in Energy (MME) is a STEM-designated degree program strategically designed around the business of energy. Over the course of the program, which can be completed in two or three semesters, students visit production platforms, power plants and refineries to develop a deep understanding of all aspects of the energy industry, including generation, trading, analytics and renewables. With an emphasis on financial skills including hands-on training in our Trading Center, the MME provides a thorough education in the business of energy in half the time of a traditional MBA program. Through the Tulane Energy Institute, students gain access to industry leaders, professional connections and cutting-edge research.
The MME curriculum reflects extensive input from employers, and is designed to provide students with marketable, technical expertise in everything from structure and valuation to financial modeling and risk management. The program requires 36 credit hours, which includes 24 credit hours of core courses and 12 credit hours of electives. Students can utilize electives to pursue individual interests and earn one of six optional specializations, including analytics, energy trading & risk management, and renewable & sustainable energy.
