After earning his Ph.D. from MIT Sloan, Eesley joined Stanford’s Management, Science and Engineering department as an assistant professor. In his research, Eesley focuses on how regulations, accepted practices, and industry environments influences the success of entrepreneurial endeavors.

Description: In this course, students will learn the difference between an idea and a true business opportunity. Dr. Eesley will provide a framework for “taking a technology idea and finding a high-potential commercial opportunity, gathering resources such as talent and capital, figuring out how to sell and market the idea, and managing rapid growth.” The course is structured so students work in start-up teams, where they’ll develop business models and plans to market their solutions.
