CEO of Lexplore, Inc. What achievement are you most proud of in your professional career? I am most proud of starting new schools and programs for kids because every child deserves a great “Just right” education. Why did you choose this school’s online MBA program? I wanted a rigorous program at a top-tier school that allowed me the flexibility necessary to continue working and caring for my family. What was your favorite part of being in an online MBA program? The best part was meeting people from so many different backgrounds and so many different places. What was the most surprising thing about an online learning environment? The most surprising thing was establishing such great relationships with people whom I had only met online. What is your best piece of advice to an applicant for thriving in an online MBA program? Be sure to get a support system in place. Meet people early and form a study group. Get to know your professors and be sure they get to know you. What would you change about an online MBA Program? For any program, I would eliminate the boundaries between online and in-person programs. The standards, rigor, and curriculum should be the same for everyone – but the mode of learning should be flexible. How has your online education helped you in your current job? I view problems and opportunities through a different lens as a result of my education. I feel more equipped to tackle complex issues and create strategies for success. If you had to do it all over again, would you? Why? YES! I decided to complete my MBA while making a huge career transition. The knowledge, skills, and network I gained through this program allowed me to find success quickly and make great strides. What is your ultimate long-term professional goal? My long-term goal is to create value for kids, educators and shareholders by creating and expanding educational products and services.
