Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: I created a first-of-its-kind ‘Stubhub Festival Pass’ which gave users access to all music festivals in America. To be able to convince the senior leadership team to implement something Stubhub had never done before was the biggest accomplishment of my career.

What quality best describes the MBA classmates you’ve met so far and why? ‘Lively’ is the quality that describes my MBA classmates. Everyone is very energetic and wants to be involved in all the various activities.

Aside from your classmates, what was the key factor that led you to choose this program for your full-time MBA and why was it so important to you? The duration (16 months) of the program fits perfectly in my MBA needs. Having worked for 9 years, I did not want a traditional 2-year MBA which would keep me out of the workforce for a longer time. Also, the HEC MBA program is long enough to build strong bonds with my classmates.

What club or activity are you looking most forward to in business school? My long-term goal is to start in international business in the field of Analytics. I am looking forward to being actively involved in the Entrepreneurship Club to learn all about starting a new business.

What was the most challenging question you were asked during the admissions process? I was asked to describe my biggest weakness. To open up and to expose my vulnerabilities in front of the interviewer was the most challenging part during the application process.

What led you to pursue an MBA at this point in your career? Having witnessed the power of big data to drive successful business strategy and having developed a deep understanding of the data practices in Fortune 500 companies, the timing is perfect for me to take a significant jump towards realizing my long-term entrepreneurial ambition. To build the general management and operations foundation that I need, I am certain an MBA from HEC is the right next step and that now is the time.

What other MBA programs did you apply to? INSEAD, UCLA Anderson, London Business School

How did you determine your fit at various schools? Speaking to friends and MBA alumni helped me narrow down the school choices. As my long-term goal is to start a new business, the strength of the entrepreneurship cell was my biggest consideration. I researched into the resources available at various school to help start my own venture and ultimately made HEC Paris as my top choice.

What was your defining moment and how did it shape who you are? My defining moment was when I got selected for the 2-year leadership development program at eBay, which gave me a chance to work on four different international assignments. Living in different countries and embracing new cultures shaped my personality from a shy small-town boy to a confident man who can create a community wherever he goes.

Where do you see yourself in ten years? I see myself running an international venture that generates affordable and agile self-service data insights solution that can be easily adopted by small businesses to address issues and maximize growth by driving more human connections.
