Sometimes the best way to truly know a degree program is to ask alumni. As part of our annual ranking of best online MBA programs, we survey thousands of recently graduated alumni of those programs. The data we collect makes up two-thirds of the methodology of this ranking. But more importantly, it gives us and our readers a pulse on what programs are doing well, according to their recent graduates, and what programs are not doing as well.
This year surveys were sent to 7,469 graduates at 50 online MBA programs between May and September. Of those, a total of 1,351 responded for an overall response rate of about 18%. For schools to qualify their alumni data, they had to meet a minimum response rate of 10%. This year three schools did not meet the minimum response rate and are not included in these data sets.
As with previous years, we asked alumni more than a dozen questions about their academic experience ranging from if they’d recommend the business program to a colleague, friend, or relative to how immediately they were able to apply what they were learning in the classroom to their jobs to their satisfaction with consulting projects provided to them. Check out the following pages to see how each of the 50 participating schools did on each question below.
