What led you to pursue an MBA at this point in your career?
My goal is to work for an investment bank or consulting firm in the Fort Worth area. Being a lifelong resident, I have noticed the recent growth in business in the city. I chose to pursue an MBA at TCU to strengthen my connections in Fort Worth and utilize its strong Horned Frog network of alumni and corporate partners to achieve my goals.

What word best describes the TCU MBA students and alumni you’ve met so far?
Passionate. TCU MBA students and alumni are willing to go the extra mile to achieve their goals. Before I applied to TCU, I had the privilege of being on the campus for professional development for my school district. The faculty and staff instantly made a connection and encouraged me to pursue my dreams in business. I don’t think I would be at TCU if it weren’t for the relationships, I made prior to becoming a student.

Aside from classmates, what was the key part of TCU’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you?
The MBA program offers a variety of opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience such as managing the $1.75 million Educational Investment Fund, competing in national case competitions, and working with real clients through the Neeley & Associates Consulting program. I believe the MBA at TCU will provide me with the tools and resources I need to achieve my long-term career goals.

What is your favorite course as an MBA and/or favorite professor and why?
Global Environment of Business has been my favorite course so far. It’s been valuable learning how companies differentiate their approach in global markets. I plan to study abroad in Vietnam this January, so the course will be applicable immediately. The global focus of this course has given me the tools to strategize and commerce outside of the United States.

What club or activity have you enjoyed the most so far at TCU?
Neeley alumni have been brought in to provide first-hand accounts on how they landed jobs in specific industries and functions. We’ve had speakers in finance, supply chain, and marketing to name a few, and insights into what to expect and how to take advantage of the MBA have been extremely helpful in preparing me to make choices on subjects and opportunities going forward.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far?
I earned an A- in Financial Reporting. I was terrible in Accounting in undergrad.
