MBA Handicapping: 3 Ways To Optimize Your 2+2 (Or Any) Application

Matt is a senior at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business who is applying to a half dozen of the most highly selective MBA deferred admit programs: Harvard 2+2, Wharton Moelis Advanced Access, Yale Silver Scholars, Kellogg Future Leaders, Booth Scholars, and Stanford’s deferred MBA.

He brings a 3.72 GPA to the game, along with a 635 on the new GMAT Focus exam. He also has held a couple of leadership positions in university-wide student organizations, including a stint as president of IU’s Club Sports Federation. In that role, he has organized and led more than 10 major events a year.

Last summer he was a global project management intern for Labcorp Drug Development. He’s currently weighing his internship opportunities for this coming summer.

Matt’s immediate post-MBA goal? “I’d like to find a job in consulting for government agencies. I am very passionate about the political issues we face today and want to make a real impact on the future of the country.”
