What has been your first impression of the Tuck MBA students and alumni you’ve met so far. Tell us your best Tuck story so far. My first impression of Tuck MBA students and alumni was warm and welcoming. I first met my T’25 career mentor (and fellow Consortium member), Sally Kim, over the summer. Sally played an integral role in my pre-MBA recruiting process by providing advice and guidance during multiple conversations. When we met on campus, she checked in not only about recruiting, but also about how I’m doing personally. She even went as far as inviting me to her home for a small group dinner—a Tuck tradition where fellow Tuckies connect over a meal. I really enjoyed the evening of camaraderie, engaging conversation, and a home-cooked meal shared with other classmates and their partners.

Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of Dartmouth Tuck’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? The Tuck community and strong alumni network. The way we show up for each other is unparalleled. The strength of the community provides safety, honesty, and encouragement as I try new things and develop as a leader in the next two years and beyond. Whether its conversational check-ins with directors and deans or classmates cheering me on as I learn to skate in my hockey gear, I know I have a lifelong network I can both lean on and support.

What excites you the most about coming to live in Hanover? What is the one activity you can’t wait to do? I am most excited for autumn in Hanover. Hanover is very beautiful, especially as all the leaves change color. I’m excited to hike Gile Mountain or along the Appalachian Trail and eat local delicacies like cider donuts and maple creemees with friends!

What course, club or activity excites you the most at Dartmouth Tuck? I’m most excited about my upcoming Global Insight Expedition (GIX) course, Kenya: The Silicon Savannah, led by Professor Ramon Lecuona Torras during spring break. The cohort will do a strategy consulting project for venture backed companies in Kenya and gain firsthand exposure to businesses in an emerging market, while simultaneously immersing ourselves in a new culture and environment.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: My biggest accomplishment has been managing and executing a multi-million-dollar capital expenditure project during a period of vast growth post-COVID. This project had multiple subprojects, which provided the opportunity to work cross-functionally, manage senior staff and external vendors, and creatively solve challenges. Effectively managing a project of that scope and magnitude early in my career was a rewarding experience.

What do you hope to do after graduation (at this point)? I aspire to be a strategy consultant in New York City who positively impacts businesses and people. I also plan to continue to volunteer to give back to the community and help pave a path for others.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into Dartmouth Tuck’s MBA program? Be yourself, be intentional, and share your story. I would encourage prospective applicants to reflect on your experiences so far, what you want to learn and gain, and how Tuck will help you get there. And don’t be afraid to share your unique story and perspective and how you’ll add to the Tuck community.
