Aside from your location and classmates, what was the one key part of Washington Foster’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you?

From my first Foster shadow day, the community warmed my heart right away. Students shared genuine stories of bonds with professors, peers, and especially alumni, turning mentorship into something tangible and heartfelt, far beyond empty words. This past quarter truly embodied Foster’s community spirit, especially during my most stressful moments. Alumni jumped in instantly to help me with interview prep just days before big rounds and even carved out time to meet up in Pittsburgh during a case competition, generously sharing their hard-won wisdom. That open-hearted willingness to connect and give me warm glimpses into post-MBA life, as well as personal tips to make the most of my time here, has felt like a true embrace, transforming the network into an irreplaceable family unlike anything else.

What course, club or activity have you enjoyed the most so far at Washington Foster?

Serving as a career rep for my cohort has been the activity I’ve enjoyed most so far at Foster, filling my heart with joy at every step. Guiding classmates through resume tweaks, mock interviews, and networking strategies supercharges our collective job hunt, creating that warm, supportive vibe where everyone lifts each other up and feels truly seen. It sharpens my leadership skills while letting me blend my engineering precision with product management instincts, turning peer challenges into those magical collaborative wins that mirror the teamwork I absolutely thrive on. Those tender moments of watching confidence bloom in others, paired with the genuine bonds we’re forging, have been so incredibly rewarding and have made my MBA journey feel like home from day one.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far:

Achieving my Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification stands out as one of my top career milestones, reshaping how I approach teamwork and leadership. It gave me the right tools to guide teams through agile ceremonies, from sprint planning to retrospectives, nurturing spaces where ideas dance freely and shared momentum feels truly alive. This ignited a delightful curiosity to weave agile magic into every new adventure, fueling my passion to champion processes that let engineers and product teams innovate together. It deepened my love for building high-performing teams and fueled my pivot into product management during my MBA.

Describe your biggest achievement in the MBA program so far:

Although I’m only a quarter in, I’ve loved participating in the Tepper Innovation Case Competition most so far. Getting to dive into high-stakes team problem-solving and blend my engineering precision with real Product Management skills. Prepping with my fellow cohorts late into the night in Pittsburgh (the weekend right before finals, too) built genuine connections that supercharged my career goals and made every intense moment feel collaborative and rewarding. We also got to meet with Foster alumni who shared what it’s like to work on the East Coast after an MBA. Landing 3rd place felt like a huge win for our tight-knit crew. Overall, it wasn’t just about winning. It was the rush of turning raw ideas into polished pitches under deadline pressure, mirroring the fast-paced product world I’m chasing. Those late-night strategy sessions with teammates sharpened my storytelling and analytical edge in ways no lecture could. They built relationships that I know will last a lifetime.

What has been your best memory as an MBA so far?

Although I can’t pick just one memory as an MBA so far (there are too many heartwarming ones), celebrating everyone’s wins together as a cohort tops the list—from landing dream internships to acing tough classes. Moments like my team bringing donuts to celebrate my simply getting an interview, or those spontaneous group cheers over coffee and late-night Slack explosions of confetti emojis, capture the pure joy of our shared journey, turning individual triumphs into collective magic that makes every hustle feel so worth it. Watching classmates light up as they share offer letters or breakthrough grades, then piling on with hugs, high-fives, and stories of their grit, fills my heart with such tender pride and reminds me why I adore this community. It weaves our diverse backgrounds into one unstoppable, loving force, echoing the collaborative spirit I crave in product management and making Foster feel like the warmest family from day one.
