What excites you most about studying in Washington, DC? Washington, D.C., is the seat of power in the Western world – where ideas become action, and action becomes legacy. I’m excited to live in a place where decisions don’t just shape outcomes – they shape history. It is a place where people, policy, and purpose collide, and where I’ll walk among the bold institutions and individuals who dare to move the arc of destiny.

Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of Georgetown McDonough’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? McDonough’s mission to “inspire ethical leaders to serve the common good” spoke directly to the kind of leader I strive to be — as a Citadel graduate, a veteran, and a public servant. I came to Georgetown because here, leadership is measured not just by outcomes or bottom lines, but by impact – not just by ambition, but by how deeply you serve. Georgetown shapes leaders of consequence in every endeavor, and I wanted to grow alongside people who carry that same quiet fire – people who still believe that business, at its best, can be a force for good for others.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at Georgetown McDonough? The Georgetown Consulting Club (GCC) and Student Government Association (SGA) are both at the top of my list. As I transition from federal consulting into management consulting, GCC is a perfect space to grow through casing, mentorship, and networking. And after years of alumni leadership and public service, stepping into SGA feels like a natural next chapter in that journey – a way to give back to the institution that is helping me move forward.

Georgetown McDonough programming focuses heavily on instilling a global mindset. Why is exposure to global diversity so critical to business success? Global diversity challenges you to listen more deeply, lead more thoughtfully, and solve problems through a wider lens. While teaching counterparts from across Latin America, I saw how cross-cultural fluency, language skills, and mutual trust were essential to building stronger strategic partnerships and achieving lasting results. The same holds true in business. McDonough’s global focus – from the Global Business Experience (GBE) to its 50% international student body – prepares you not just to compete in a global market, but to lead in one.

When you think of Georgetown University, what word comes to mind? Why? Stewardship. Georgetown produces servant leaders who act in service to something greater than self – whether in government, business, or public life. That spirit of purposeful leadership and collaboration is exactly the kind of community I want to be a part of – and it is exactly why I feel that I can call Georgetown home.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: I co-led a team investigating financial crimes for one of the world’s top ten banks. The role was demanding, and the stakes were high: shifting client demands, tight deadlines, and a global team that needed fast, effective training to become operational. A teammate (my best friend at the firm!) and I trained over 80 analysts and wrote procedures that streamlined how hundreds of complex cases were resolved. It tested and grew my leadership skills and analytical grit. Most of all, it reminded me that behind every data point is a real human being, and behind every tough case, a chance to do good in the world.

What is your long-term career goal? I aim to build a career at the intersection of strategy and service. I hope to become a leader in management consulting, helping clients solve their most complex challenges with clarity and impact – while continuing to serve my communities through nonprofit work and civic engagement. Business, to me, is about creating solutions that last. In the firm I join and the volunteer efforts I serve, I want to leave a legacy that earns trust, creates value, and shapes change that endures.
