When you think of Notre Dame, what are the first things that come to mind? How have your experiences with the Mendoza program thus far reinforced or upended these early impressions? It is the history of this great university and how much it means to so many people. From day one, it’s made clear to you that there is a debt you owe when you come to Notre Dame. You take on an obligation to support your classmates: past, present, and future. A great example of this culture is our MBA Consulting Club. My second-year classmates work tirelessly to push me towards my goals and create opportunities for our class. My experience with the program has deeply reinforced my belief that the network and community surrounding this incredible institution is second to none.

Aside from your classmates, what was the one key part of the Mendoza MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? Our experiential learning programs. The school does a great job of creating exciting opportunities for us to do hands-on, experiential learning, most notably through our Grow Irish program.

What course, club or activity have you enjoyed the most so far at Mendoza? I have loved partnering with the Rally ND team as a strategy consultant. As someone pursuing a career in consulting, working with Rally has afforded me the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and have an impact on the strategic direction of an important organization for Notre Dame Athletics.

Rally serves as the Name Image and Likeness (NIL) solutions company for University of Notre Dame student athletes. We provide a full suite of marketing, management, and media production services in support of commercial endorsement initiatives.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: During my senior year of undergrad, I co-founded and captained the Union College Club Lacrosse Team. In our first year, we had 40 players and went on to win the NCLL National Championship with an undefeated record of (10-0). Since then, the team has impacted over 150 students and we have gone on to win two more National Championships.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far? I am really proud of the way that I have integrated and engaged with not only the business school community, but the Notre Dame community at large. I believe that your experience is only as good as you make it and I have done a great job of proactively shaping my experience so far.

Mendoza is known as a purpose-driven MBA program that asks students to “Grow the good in business.” What is your mission and how has Mendoza been helping you realize it? I was extremely attracted to Notre Dame’s purpose driven program. In order to Grow the Good in Business, I must first grow the good in myself. This program has pushed me to identify my strengths and weaknesses, both as a professional and as a person. With increased self-awareness and a plan for growth, I can pursue a life after Notre Dame that will not only allow me to prosper, but to grow the good around me.

What has been your best memory as an MBA so far? Playing flag football with my classmates. I am always looking for opportunities to compete, either in the classroom or on the field. Playing sports with friends and classmates is an amazing way to get to know people and understand them better. How do you treat your teammates when things aren’t going your way? How do you react when you win or lose?

I am really looking forward to playing again next fall and winning a championship for Mendoza.
