I have done my bachelor in technology and after that, I worked as a customer service associate in Amazon for 28 months. But due to some personal issues, I had to leave my job in October 2018. Currently, I am doing a business analysis certification course.

Hi Mr. CPG Tech! This is Kate Richardson, Senior Admissions Consultant. Kudos on the 770 GMAT! There are probably lots of folks here who would like to get some test tips from you! As you probably know, that is well above Foster’s 695 average. That should help a lot with your low GPA. I had another client with a similar GMAT/GPA combo who was accepted to a few comparable programs and ended up getting some scholarship dollars too, so I think you’re in range at Foster. In terms of your work history, the Amazon brand is of course great to have, and you can address the reasons for leaving in your application or optional essay. Hi Mr. CPG Tech! This is Kate Richardson, Senior Admissions Consultant. Kudos on the 770 GMAT! There are probably lots of folks here who would like to get some test tips from you! As you probably know, that is well above Foster’s 695 average. That should help a lot with your low GPA. In terms of your work history, the Amazon brand is of course great to have, and you can address the reasons for leaving in your application or optional essay. Your employment gap is a bit concerning though, as schools prefer applicants who are employed when they apply. The course should be helpful in accounting for some of that time, and helping with your GPA, but I wonder if it will seem like you’re doing enough?? Are you involved in any substantial community activities? Freelance work? Helping a family member? I’d want to discuss that further and make sure we’re positioning your employment gap in the best light.
Hi, this is Melisa, Admissions Counselor from Stratus Admissions. It sounds like you might be on the initial stages of planning for an MBA. Here are a couple things to keep in mind: 1 – Congrats on the GMAT, this will go far to overcoming your lower GPA – I would want to know more about your technology program in undergrad and what type of course work you took there. Your certification course could help demonstrate your academic aptitude and is a great step to take. Schools look at your undergrad course work and grade as an indication of your being able to handle the academics at their program. 2 – You might want to think about getting some additional years of experience working before you …
Hi, this is Melisa, Admissions Counselor from Stratus Admissions. 2 – You might want to think about getting some additional years of experience working before you apply. Foster has a higher years of experience than most incoming classes at 6 years. So additional experience, ideally where you could show some increased responsibility would really help here. This holds true for Tepper as well. 3 – You have not listed anything under extracurricular involvement and I would want to dig in here a bit more. This would be another opportunity to build with a couple years of additional experience before applying. Is there something that you are passionate about that you could get involved in and take a leadership role? 4 – Explaining your gap will be important in your applications and talking through how you spent your time. You will want to explain how and why you decided an MBA is the right next step for you. Reach out if I can answer any other questions.
