Hi Mr. Firmware Engineer, I like that you have a clear vision for your future and how an MBA can help you get there! This is Debbie Choy from mbaMission. I think you have a lot of strengths in your profile – robust academics, strong work background including collaborating with cross-functional teams, and clear career goals. I don’t see any Extracurriculars listed – don’t underestimate these in your MBA applications. If you’re able to show that you’re engaged / giving back to your community, ideally in a volunteer leadership role with a local nonprofit or community organization, that will strengthen your profile even more. Wharton is looking for a track record of leadership – during undergrad, at work, and outside of work. Any chance you can get to demonstrate leadership experiences (organizing people, managing projects / budgets, organizing events, etc), the stronger your application. The good news is it is not too late to start now, even if you’re applying to R1 this fall. Having a few months of community engagement under your belt is better than none.
