Hi, it’s Nisha from mbaMission. It sounds like you were a rockstar in college and that the success has continued in your banking and consulting career. On top of that, looks like you’re involved in the community (and, an organic native pepper business – now I’m really intrigued!) Overall, a well-rounded profile. The schools you’re targeting have an average GMAT score of about 720-730 (and are used to seeing high scores from bankers and consultants) so if you’re able to boost it further, that would help your chances.
Aside from GMAT, you’ll want to focus on explaining the motivations behind your post-MBA goals, making a strong case for why each school is a good fit for you based on its …
Aside from GMAT, you’ll want to focus on explaining the motivations behind your post-MBA goals, making a strong case for why each school is a good fit for you based on its culture and resources within and outside of the classroom, and paint a well-rounded picture of yourself in the applications. Hope that helps a bit – best of luck!
Hi, it’s Jennifer Jackson from Stratus Admissions. I’m so impressed with your background and all you’ve accomplished! I think coming from Peru will be a big differentiator — all of these schools would like to see more qualified candidates from South America. You have a solid GPA in a hard major, and your GMAT is good as well. It is below each of these schools’ averages but I would bet that it’s right at the average for your demographic (again, not a ton of South Americans). That said, it won’t hurt you try again and see if you can score higher. I just don’t see it as a red-flag GMAT given your other strengths. You don’t say much about your goals, but I would recommend …

You don’t say much about your goals, but I would recommend being very explicit about the ST and the LT goal (consulting for ST?), including some firms you’d want to work for and how that role will prepare you for the LT role doing X. Plus you want to be clear how the MBA will help you achieve those goals. I think you’ll be competitive at top schools with compelling essays and recommendations. Good luck!
