Mr. Sloan Worshiper

About Me:

My origins began in a small, war-torn European country (holding three distinct citizenships ā€“ the US being one of them). My entire life has been on the move ā€“ living on 3 different continents and moving around every few years. I have a newfound appreciation for this as it necessitated my need to assimilate into a new culture after every move.

    Hi Mr. Sloan Worshipper,
Impressive journey from small town Europe to Dartmouth undergrad and now VP at Citi! This is Debbie Choy from mbaMission. I think you have a lot of strengths in your profile – outstanding work experience and career trajectory (promotions, recognition), strong extracurriculars (NGO), solid academics (your strong GMAT should offset your GPA). Given you’re doing well in your career, what motivates you to pivot into MBB? As you put your apps together, if you can weave in your personal and professional stories into a compelling narrative, that would be the key to your application success. In particular, your international background is unique – be sure to articulate how you will contribute your perspectives to the Sloan class. This will help your app …

  • Stratus Admissions Counseling Odds Assessment: 25%

Hi Mr. Sloan Worshipper, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. As a serial relocator myself, I completely emphasize with the assimilation skills that frequent moves can build. You have the makings of what I think makes for a strong Sloan application: smarts, impact and uniqueness. Your extensive involvement in your communities in Albania and locally are impressive. And itā€™s not often I see a 760 GMAT score – so congrats! And I am still trying to figure out how bio-molecular physics fits in to the picture! All this said, Iā€™d love to see you dig into your goals a bit more. While this is less important to Sloan, it will be important to other schools on your list. A move from finance to consulting is not …
