In working with a lot of Indian clients AND those passionate about education/social impact, I’ve seen that those who are most successful are those who 1.) fully communicate their achievements within/outside of work on their resume/applications, with an emphasis on leadership 2.) shed light into their formative experiences and how they shaped the values they hold dear today and 3.) explain the motivations behind their career goals, and make a strong case for how the target program will help them achieve these goals. The question that many programs will want to know is why you feel you need an MBA now since you are well on your way to achieving your goals. Talk about the problems you have faced and how an MBA can help. Also share the success you have had to date—how have you driven results? How have you inspired teams? If you can do these things and demonstrate why you will be even more successful with an MBA then I do think you could be a compelling candidate at HBS, Wharton or Kellogg. You …

You might as well give GSB a shot too—they have some great resources at Stanford around education as well. You have all the building blocks—you just need to put them together with a story that moves adcom—I encourage you to start now as it takes time to build the foundational elements of your introspection work so you can tell your most compelling story in your essays.
