Hi, it’s Nisha from mbaMission. I’d like to understand your career path better – did you start out in hospitality, go to Big4, and then return to hospitality? In any case, it does sound like you’ve made good progression in your career, which is a plus. Though you’ve done very well academically, it’s tough for me to fully assess your odds for INSEAD or other programs without the GMAT.
The bigger question to me, though, is: why a second MBA? Also, was the specialized MBA in France? If so, INSEAD is really going to wonder why you’re seeking a second business degree. In any case, you’ll want to clearly show what motivates your short and long-term goals and how an …
The bigger question to me, though, is: why a second MBA? Also, was the specialized MBA in France? If so, INSEAD is really going to wonder why you’re seeking a second business degree. In any case, you’ll want to clearly show what motivates your short and long-term goals and how an MBA from INSEAD will help you achieve them. And speaking of goals: why social venture/impact investing? This can be a tough field to break into, so I would think about a feasible Plan B for your immediate post-MBA goal. Hello Ms. Investment Officer, it’s Lisa Cummings of Stratus Admissions. Without a GMAT score and more detail on your work experience it’s difficult to assess your odds for INSEAD or any other school. You say you spent 10 years in France, was some of that in school? I’m trying to get a handle on your years of work experience given the trajectory you describe in your Big Life Wins. How did you make that leap from front desk to asset management and how long dd that take? You mention that you earned a “specialized MBA” somewhere along the way – was that full time? What was it in and why a second MBA now? While it is not …

You say you spent 10 years in France, was some of that in school? You mention that you earned a “specialized MBA” somewhere along the way – was that full time? What was it in and why a second MBA now? While it is not unheard of for folks to want a second MBA degree, you will need to convince schools that what they offer is different from what you experienced in your first MBA, and that you need this degree to achieve your goals. Schools will need much more detail on your work – responsibilities and impact, to fully evaluate your candidacy. I am giving you 10% odds but you have a lot of interesting pieces here so those odds could jump dramatically with more data. Best of luck!
