Your Big 4 job is good. Your GPA not so good. Especially for Harvard Business School.
Here’s the reality: A recent analysis of an entering HBS class showed this when it came to consulting admits: McKinsey was by far the best employer to have worked for, sending 41 admits directly, while no less than 82 have McKinsey on their resume since graduating form college. By contrast, only 36 came directly from BCG and 27 from Bain. All told, MBB accounted for 104 (11.4%) of direct admits, and 21% of the class had worked at one of these three employers at some point. Among the Big Four there’s a strong showing by Deloitte – 8 admits came direct but 27 have the company on their resume – …

So this will primarily turn on what you have accomplished as a consultant and whether you have been promoted once or twice at your Big 4 firm. I bet you have.
