Iowa State’s College of Business is ranked 84th among the top 100 business schools in the U.S. by Poets&Quants.
The Iowa State University Master of Business Administration (MBA) requires completing 48 credit hours of study. The first 30-credits of the program consist of core classes, giving students a solid business background while incorporating the school’s core value of corporate social responsibility throughout the curriculum.
The final 18-credits of the MBA program are comprised of electives, allowing students to tailor their degree to suit their individual career goals. Five specializations are offered: accounting, finance, marketing, supply chain management, and technology and innovation management.
Between 2012 and 2013, Iowa State fell two spots in the Poets&Quants ranking, going from No. 84 to No. 86. During that time, the school wasn’t listed in any major ranking other than the U.S. News ranking, where the school fell from No. 64 to No. 70. This year, U.S. News put the school in the 73rd place, suggesting that the decline might continue for some time. Still, rankings aside, it’s worth noting that for the Class of 2013, the employment rate was pretty solid: 92.9% of the class was employed three months after graduation.
