The Rutgers Business School MBA: What You Need To Know

The Rutgers Business School at the State University of New Jersey has a rich history, with the first MBA being offered in 1929. The B-School is located in Newark – just a short train ride away from New York City, an epicenter of business. The flagship location in New Brunswick offers students a taste of everything — with a busy urban core that feeds out to the Raritan River, making for a tranquil and green campus atmosphere.

To be accepted to the program, prospective MBAs have to have 2 years of work experience. The average age is 28 and begins in the fall, with an annual enrollment of about 50-70 students. Students can customize their experience by selecting from concentrations in Analytics & Information Management, Customized Healthcare, Finance, Global Business, Marketing, Marketing Research Insights & Analytics, Pharmaceutical Management, Real Estate, Strategy & Leadership, Supply Chain Management, Technology Commercialization, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

Rutgers also offers a part-time MBA, best for those working and looking to advance their career with their current employer or in their current industry, an EMBA, and an MBA in Accounting.

The school’s Center for Urban Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (CUEED) is the first center of its kind in the nation to integrate scholarly works with private capital, government, and nonprofit sectors to develop resources in the city of Newark and bring renewed economic growth and vitality through urban entrepreneurship.
