The Eller College of Management MBA: What You Need To Know

The University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management is in the beautiful Sonoran Desert in Tucson, Arizona – home to many classic western film sets, extremely clean air and amazing southwestern cuisine. Eller’s immersive MBA program is ideal for those who want to gain additional skills to enhance or begin a new career track.

MBAs typically come into the 21-month program with about three or more years of experience and are on average 27 years old. The MBA spans a total of 48 units, 32 of which are core courses and 16 of which are electives. Aside from the full-time MBA, Eller also offers Evening, Executive, Professional and Online MBA programs.

During their first year, Eller MBAs build their skills and knowledge in foundational areas like finance, marketing, accounting, management, communication and leadership, and in their second year, they can choose from one of 15 dual-degree options, some of which are Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, MIS, Economics, and Marketing.

Alternatively, to a dual-degree, Eller MBAs have the option to take electives in a concentration in either Entrepreneurship, Finance, Healthcare Management, Management Information Systems, and Marketing.

Traveling abroad is part of the program with Eller. The B-School requires all to embark on the Global Business Experience to a global business center like Spain, Portugal, Brazil, and Chile to gain other unique business perspectives. The Eller Business Consulting Program allows MBAs the chance to work directly with companies on team semester-long consulting projects, and industry professionals find the program very valuable.

Other extra-curricular activities at Eller include but are not limited to networking mixers, case competitions, conferences, professional and social clubs.

The numbers speak to the success of the program, with 89% of MBAs employed within six months of graduation, and the average salary at $94,848 according to Eller’s 2021 Employment Report. ​​
