A first-of-its-kind, specialized master’s degree for early- and mid-career employees of central banks and other major regulatory agencies with a mandate to manage systemic risk. The year-long program focuses in macroprudential policy, financial crisis management, global financial regulation, monetary economics, crisis communications, and central banking.
The MMS in Systemic Risk is a 9-month, full-time, in-residence program that runs each year from August – May. The program is taught in English, with 30 units of required coursework centered around management of financial crises, and 6 units of electives in statistics, finance or economics taken across Yale University. Prerequisites are an undergraduate degree (Bachelor or equivalent), nomination by a qualified institution, excellent written and spoken English skills, and a GMAT or GRE exam.
