While Babson is renowned for its success in cultivating entrepreneurs, far more graduates of the MBA program use their Babson training to succeed in corporate environments. Babson emphasizes integrative learning through its cross-disciplinary, modular curriculum. The first-year MBA curriculum features four modules: Creative Management in Dynamic Organizations; Assessing Business Opportunities; Designing and Managing the Delivery System; and Growing Businesses in a Changing Global Environment.

Building on the first-year experience, the second year encourages students to focus their studies through a combination of required courses and electives. The Babson elective curriculum lets students customize studies to fit your individual career goals. Electives are structured around six Career Contexts: Consulting and Professional Services, Consumer Products, Entrepreneurship, Financial Services, Global Management, and Managing in Technology-Intensive Enterprises.

Many electives are organized around “Career Contexts,” which help students make choices consistent with their individual career goals. Another program initiative, the “intensive elective,” enables students to complete selected courses through highly concentrated study during a three-day period.
