What Ever Happened To The MBAs On The Apprentice?

Season 5:

Allie and Sean Get Down to Business

Allie Jablon: The oddsmakers probably listed Jablon as the season five favorite. Graduating first in her class from the University of Florida and earning an MBA from Harvard, Jablon boasted some impressive credentials. Despite managing the winning team in week one, Jablon was eventually undone by Trump’s perception that she was disrespectful and disloyal. She is currently the director of premium services and matchmaking for Three Day Rule.

Daniel Brody

Daniel Brody

Daniel Brody: Trained by Marriott, this Baruch College MBA was another first-time project manager who withered in a leadership role. His great sin? Listening only to Tarek Saab, an Iago with a MENSA pedigree, whose lax judgment submarined the team’s radio spot. Since The Apprentice, Brody has pivoted to fashion design and manufacturing, serving as COO of Grace Tokyo.

Tammy Trenta: After earning an MBA at Arizona State in 1999, Trenta held leadership positions at Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and Wells Fargo before joining the season five cast in 2006. Despite lasting until week 12, Trenta became best known for dating eventual winner Sean Yazbeck. These days, Trenta lives in southern California, serving as the director of financial planning for EP Wealth Advisors, where she works on both the personal and business sides of the business.

Note: Runner-up Lee Bienstock finished his MBA at Wharton in 2011.

Season 6:

Jennifer Faces the Wolves

Aaron Altscher: How is this for irony: An MBA who specialized in project management is removed for poor leadership, planning and execution. That’s Altscher’s story in a nutshell. But being fired early didn’t hinder this University of Mary Washington MBA. These days, you’ll find Altscher in Trump’s chair, as CEO of Handteq, a Maryland-based provider of custom mobile and web technologies for inspections, payments, and virtual signage. He also teaches entrepreneurship and business communications courses at Howard Community College and the University of Loyola-Maryland.

Jennifer Hoffman

Jennifer Hoffman

Jenn Hoffman: A publicist among litigators, real estate developers and Olympic athletes? Talk about placing a wolf among sheep! Armed with a University of Phoenix MBA (yes, that University of Phoenix) Hoffman started strong, but fizzled out after two consecutive visits to the board room. After her firing, Hoffman hosted business shows for CBS and FOX, along with founding a series of enterprises. She is currently a member of the Entegy Group, which provides media training for clients ranging from news hosts to athletes.

Notes: Angela Ruggiero earned a Harvard MBA after the show.
