Average GMAT Scores At The Top 50 B-Schools

Rice University has seen the biggest 5-year increase in average GMAT score, a jump of 30 points — most of which occurred in 2016 and 2017 when the school gained 35 total points. When Poets&Quants analyzed GMAT scores for the Top 50 business schools in early 2018, there were 20 schools at or above an average score of 700. This year, we find the number of schools over 700 has dropped by one, to 19, after Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management slipped from 700 to 699. However, there are six more schools at 690 or above.
