“Given the current decline in application volume for even the most selective two-year programs, and the growing variety and popularity of shorter MBA and non-MBA master’s programs, more business schools will seriously consider offering the option — or possibly even converting their entire MBA curriculum — to a one-year model,” says Alex Min of The MBA Exchange.

“Ultimately, business schools have no choice but to be what the majority of MBA applicants want them to be. The pendulum is already swinging toward shorter programs.”
