Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of the MBA curriculum or activities that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? The key part was the attention and encouragement I received from the program’s faculty and staff. After being undervalued for most of my professional career, the feeling of being “wanted” by a school I revered was too much to pass up.

What quality best describes your MBA classmates and why? Supportive! Anytime I’ve even thought about needing help, someone has jumped up to offer it. I am so grateful for all of my classmates!

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: My biggest career accomplishment so far was starting my own consulting business last year.

What has been the biggest surprise in your first three months of business school? I was surprised at the sheer number of opportunities for engagement. There was literally something to do every week—even in these times.

What led you to pursue an MBA at this point in your career? My career coach accurately identified the issue I’ve had thus far: Total lack of influence at work. I need to step into the leadership role I’ve always known I could, and an MBA can help me get there.

What other MBA programs did you apply to? None

What do you see yourself doing ten years from now? Strategy consulting, modeling, dog-handling and occasionally traveling the world.
