Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of the MBA curriculum or activities that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? UC Davis is well known for its Industry Immersion program. This elective series allows me to interact with other UC Davis graduate students and top executives to develop the skills required to be a successful business leader in the future. In addition, the UC Davis MBA program allows me to acquire the fundamental business concepts to manage effectively in the constantly changing business environment.

What quality best describes your MBA classmates and why? The characteristic of strong ambition combined with real-world experience and humbleness.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: During my second year in Channel Well Technology, my team and I skyrocketed department sales revenue by 1,000%.

What has been the biggest surprise in your first three months of business school? I was amazed by the smooth transition of the program to a virtual environment due to COVID-19. Also, our small class size has created stronger bonding between us.

What led you to pursue an MBA at this point in your career? Much of my previous work experience involved management, commerce, and engineering, which allows me to understand the value and power that technology plus business can provide. Though my work experiences gave me the opportunities to take part in different business sectors, I realized I needed to gain more insights into effective leadership, sales and marketing strategies.

What other MBA programs did you apply to? UCLA, Boston University, USC

What do you see yourself doing ten years from now? I want to take on a leadership position to enhance the level of data application analysis, which will give me the experience I’ll need for doing business in Asia. I aim to build a thriving business community for others to join and collaborate. By monitoring customer impact and market trends, I hope to build a data and knowledge pool for other companies to reference in the future and eventually allowing them to catch up with the leading corporates in other countries.
