What achievement are you most proud of in your professional career? Relocating from the US to the Netherlands. This career move has allowed me to broaden my leadership skills in an international setting.  Leading global teams to deliver solutions to our key international clients has been challenging and rewarding.

Why did you choose this school’s online MBA program? Boston University’s Online MBA (OMBA) program ticked all the boxes for me: prestigious business school, university, & faculty, an excellent price point, an international reputation for academic rigor and excellence, online, and flexible.

What was your favorite part of being in an online MBA program? It’s difficult to choose just one. I especially enjoyed the Capstone projects at the end of each semester. These helped me to synthesize the content in creative and challenging ways. For example, in Module 2, I built a dashboard to measure, monitor, and manage the performance of my teams which I utilize daily.

What was the most surprising thing about an online learning environment? The program was very interactive! Engaging virtually with my classmates, teammates, faculty, and staff deepened my understanding of the concepts and established a sense of community. I never felt alone or lost during my MBA journey.

How did your online experience compare with your in-the-classroom experience as an undergraduate student? The online-virtual format offers so much flexibility and allows me to balance much more than I expected. I don’t have to worry about traveling or parking. I can just log in from anywhere.

What is your best piece of advice to an applicant for thriving in an online MBA program? Set aside time each day to study. These small blocks add up quickly and can help preserve weekend time with family and friends.

What would you change about an online MBA Program? I have been extremely impressed by the quality and affordability of Questrom’s Online MBA program. As a life-long learner, I’m hopeful Questrom will offer post-MBA online learning opportunities.

How has your online education helped you in your current job? Professionally, the Questrom MBA has given me the knowledge to confidently participate in management conversations that had previously been out of reach. Personally, the program has provided a valuable lens to assess and analyze forces driving local and global change and inspired me to look for opportunities to have a positive impact where possible.
