When you think of Georgia Tech, what are the first things that come to mind? How have your experiences with the Scheller MBA and the larger university thus far reinforced or upended these early impressions? Georgia Tech is known for innovation and challenging the status quo. The programming through the MBA student groups and case discussions in our classes have reinforced that our cohort is not satisfied with “It is what it is.” We are ready to lead change and make things better.

What has been your favorite part of Atlanta so far? What has made it such a great place to earn an MBA? Atlanta is an international city and has food from all over the world. It has been so fun to explore cuisines I have never tried before.

Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of the Scheller MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? I was interested in Tech’s supply chain and operations curriculum as it offered me the opportunity to partner my passion for process planning with my professional engineering experience. I sat in on a supply chain lecture before applying and it reinforced how incredible the faculty is and how relevant the subject matter was to our current business environment.

What course, club or activity have you enjoyed the most so far at Georgia Tech Scheller? I’m so appreciative of the unique programming that the Scheller Women in Business (WIB) club has planned. They held a stellar seminar on negotiations and had an interactive art installation about vulnerable storytelling that helped build a stronger sense of connection with our members.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: I used to work as a green building consultant and help teams achieve their green building certification goals. Every time I received a message from a construction or design team that they had received certification and had enjoyed working with me – I counted that as a win!

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: Winning my first case competition with three members of my full-time MBA class gave me the opportunity to collaborate with unique perspectives in a very high-pressure environment. I was also able to leverage my experience in Toastmasters and lean into my love of public speaking.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into the Scheller MBA program? When applying, find something you really connect with in the program – a passionate point that brings you joy or interests you, then write about it in your application.
