How has the case method enriched your learning? Business cases often present incomplete information and ambiguity, reflecting real-life scenarios. Some examples in Ivey have been in Finance classes, where we saw cases around M&As and Strategy classes where we discussed at length on market share vs profitability. The case learning method has enabled me to make informed decisions based on the available data while considering potential risks and uncertainties.

Aside from classmates and cases, what part of the school’s MBA programming led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? As a one-year program, Ivey thoroughly readies MBA students to navigate corporate uncertainties and make informed decisions. It instills a structured and deliberate approach, essential traits of effective leadership. Furthermore, the extensive Ivey alumni network spanning the world offers boundless opportunities and a well-rounded support system.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: During my time at Salesforce, I joined a team focused on developing scalable solutions for the world’s largest CRM platform. Over 1.5 years, I successfully transformed the billing engine and Quote to Cash processes, contributing to a remarkable $3M in B2B annual revenue growth. Although my efforts positively impacted sales reps, the most significant difference was seen in the increased user engagement of multi-million-dollar clients.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: Coming from an Engineering background, surviving Core-1 has been a humbling experience, especially with courses like Accounting and Finance. Ivey has enabled practical applications of concepts learned in class via case-based learning and 24-hour reports. Moreover, serving as an International Student Senator, I am readily available to support students experiencing homesickness or any other challenges, fostering a stronger bond within our cohort. This accomplishment holds great significance for me, considering my introverted nature and navigating through the Ivey MBA without the presence of family in Canada.

Where is your favorite hang-out in London (Ontario)? Why do you (or your classmates) gravitate there? House parties are always fun, providing an opportunity to bond with my classmates beyond the classroom environment. In addition, you’ll frequently find me in the gym, enjoying the company of a few classmates as we have fun lifting heavy weights together.

What do you hope to do after graduation (at this point)? I hope to transition into the senior product management space in the SaaS CRM/ERP domains in Canada. Navigating the evolving Canadian banking regulations and the growing adoption of cloud technology among the Top 5 banks, addressing digital transformation challenges would present an exciting and rewarding endeavor. My goal is to solve complex problems in the evolving world of CRM and as a woman in technology, empowering and mentoring future female leaders to embrace opportunities in the tech industry.

What did you do during the application process that enabled you to get accepted into Ivey? I reflected on my goals and aspirations and reached out to Ivey alumni (whose support was truly invaluable). The Ivey admission committee has been exceptionally supportive, providing invaluable assistance in addressing inquiries ranging from course curriculum to post-MBA job opportunities. Lastly, I prioritized staying true to myself and avoided changing who I am to conform to a specific school’s expectations, instead focusing on finding a school that aligned with my values and aspirations.
