Undergraduate School and Major: Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (for CA) and University of Mumbai (for Ph.D.) Most Recent Employer and Job Title: Hinduja Group Limited (Analyst – Group Chairman’s Office) Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of IIM Bangalore’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? The platform to integrate classroom learning with application (real-world experiential learning) via the Comprehensive Project with industries led me to choose the IIM Bangalore. Given that I am a finance professional, the Centre of Excellence for Financial Markets has been the best thing for me, which the college offers. What has been your favorite course or extracurricular activity at IIM Bangalore? What has been the most important lesson that you have learned from it? My favourite course has been an elective on Management Paradigms from Bhagvad Gita. I have learned that the Bhagvad Gita, the holy book of Hinduism, is not just a religious sacred scripture but compendium of management and way of life lessons, which are remarkably relevant today. What makes Bengaluru such as great place to earn your MBA? Bangalore, an IT hub major, is also booming in its Private Equity-Venture Capital ecosystem. And the weather is lovely too. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: It was having received the opportunity to work directly under the guidance of L&T’s Group CFO, Mr. R. Shankar Raman, and with Hinduja Group (India) Chairman, Mr. Ashok Hinduja, at such early stage in my career. Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: Winning the best presentation (students’ choice) on Patent Valuation at the Solvay School of Economics & Management, Belgium, while being a part of International Immersion (Student Exchange programme). What is your class’s favorite hangout away from school? Why do you gather there? Believe me, the campus is so huge and beautiful, we do not need to go away from school to hangout. What do you hope to do after graduation? I am targeting to enter Private Equity with a focus on sustainability. What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into IIM Bangalore? Highlight the impacts you have created, be it in your career or society. Importantly, be real.
