RATIO OF MBAS TO ENTREPRENEURS-IN-RESIDENCE (10%)

Support from experts is another important piece to building an entrepreneurial mindset. That’s why we asked schools to report the number of entrepreneurs-in-residence available to full-time MBAs. Like our other data points, we then turned it into a ratio by calculating the total number of entrepreneurs-in-residence per full-time ‘24 MBAs during the 2023-2024 academic year.

EDHEC topped this category as well with a ratio of 4.45 entrepreneurs-in-residence for each of its 78 Class of 2024 MBAs. Arizona Carey had the next highest ratio at 1.63.

RATIO OF STARTUP AWARD MONEY AVAILABLE TO MBAS (10%)

Many ventures get their start from business plan and startup competitions at universities.

We asked schools to report the total amount of award money available to MBAs during the 2023-2024 academic year and divided that by the number of full-time MBA students in the Class of 2024.

Arizona Carey had $1.46 million in award money available for the 2023-2024 academic year. That’s $24,661 for each of its 59 Class of 2024 MBAs. Of course, not every MBA took home that portion.

Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business, which topped this category in last year’s ranking, had the second highest ratio at $10,863 for its 154 MBAs.

At $3.72 million, UVA Darden reported the highest total award money available. But with a 2024 class of 245, it had the third highest ratio – just behind Rice Jones at $10,769.
