What has been your favorite part of Atlanta so far? What has made it such a great place to earn an MBA?

Atlanta has quickly become one of my favorite places. Its unique mix of culture, history, and innovation creates an exciting backdrop for personal and professional growth. As the capital of the South, it’s a hub for diverse industries, Fortune 500 companies, and a booming tech startup scene—perfect for making connections and expanding your network.

Coming from NYC, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the charm of Southern hospitality. People are genuinely warm, personable, and always quick to smile or say hello—which, as a New Yorker, definitely took some getting used to! What I love most about Atlanta is that there’s always something happening—festivals, concerts, sporting events, great hiking trails, or new restaurants to explore—this city has something for everyone.

Aside from your classmates and location, what was one key part of the Scheller MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you?

Scheller’s focus on the intersection of business and technology was instrumental in my decision. The program’s forward-thinking approach, combining cutting-edge analytics with strategic innovation directly aligns with my goal of leveraging data and technology to solve hard problems. As revolutionary technologies like AI and blockchain reshape industries and the global economy, Scheller’s curriculum stands out for preparing students to lead this transformation. By equipping us with both technical expertise and a strategic mindset, Scheller empowers us to not only navigate these changes but to become the leaders driving them forward.

What course, club or activity have you enjoyed the most so far at Georgia Tech?

Participating in Scheller’s leadership development programs, especially the CHARGE Leadership program, has been a transformative part of my MBA experience. The program’s focus on core competencies like social intelligence and impact and influence has helped me develop a deeper understanding of how to lead effectively in dynamic, high-pressure environments. These skills have not only enhanced my confidence as a leader but also prepared me to drive meaningful change in my future career.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far:

One of my biggest career accomplishments was during my time at DataCamp, an e-learning startup focused on enhancing data fluency, where I joined as one of the first sales hires during the company’s pivot from B2C to a B2B enterprise offering. It was a true ‘drink from the firehose’ experience, as I worked to establish our presence in the enterprise market and land some of DataCamp’s premier clients. Over two years, I consistently ranked as one of the top salespeople, earning recognition as a President’s Club winner, an accolade awarded to the highest-performing sales professionals.

In addition to driving revenue growth, I collaborated with the product team to incorporate client feedback into our offerings, which was instrumental in shaping features like admin tools and reporting dashboards for enterprise customers. These initiatives boosted engagement and client retention and reinforced DataCamp’s reputation as a leader in data-focused learning solutions for the enterprise. This experience taught me the importance of adaptability, customer-centric thinking, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far:

My biggest accomplishment as an MBA student has been finding the strength to navigate one of the most challenging periods of my life. At the beginning of the semester, I lost my father—a loss that shook me deeply. At the same time, I was adjusting to being a full-time student again, which felt overwhelming. However, through that difficult time, the support of the Scheller community made all the difference. Classmates, professors, and staff reached out in ways I didn’t expect, offering encouragement and understanding. With their help, I was able to stay focused and perform well in my classes, proving to myself that even in adversity, it’s possible to keep moving forward.

What has been your best memory as an MBA so far?

My favorite MBA memory was when I received my acceptance call to Georgia Tech. I vividly remember stepping away from my desk, heart racing, and heading into a quiet conference room to take the call from Megan, the director of admissions. When she shared the news, I felt waves of excitement, gratitude, and an overwhelming sense of honor at being admitted to such a prestigious program at a world-renowned institution. It was one of those moments where time seemed to stand still, and all the hard work and sacrifices leading up to that point felt completely worth it. That call wasn’t just an acceptance but the start of an incredible journey.
