Undergraduate School and Major: University of Miami, Finance Major Most Recent Employer and Job Title: Senior Associate at Centre Lane Partners What makes Austin such a great place to earn an MBA? In two words: the people. McCombs is an incredible business school, but what sets it apart from others is the individuals that it is made up of. I chose this school because the people here are collaborative, driven, kind, and well-rounded. We celebrate each other’s successes while pushing each other to go further than we thought we could. I can easily see myself being lifelong friends with them and hopefully partner together post-MBA. Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of Texas McCombs’ MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? I chose McCombs mainly because of its network. The McCombs name expands far beyond the MBA program and is an alumni group that very much takes care of their own. Graduates from this school have been extremely successful and have helped open doors for other fellow alums. Having gone to a smaller private school for my undergraduate years, I wanted to expand my network with a school that has a strong global brand. What course, club or activity excites you the most at Texas McCombs? I am most excited to be a part of the McCombs Ambassadors Committee (MAC). Since I was accepted to McCombs, I have been very excited about giving back to the school in whichever way possible. One of the ways I was most excited to do that was being a part of the admissions process. That way, I would be able to help foster the fantastic culture that this school has built by helping bring in the next class of students to carry that forward. I also look forward to being a face for the school, as it gives me the opportunity to tell prospective students about the positive experience that I have had here. Looking at your recruitment, what was the moment when you realized Texas McCombs was the right program for you? Why? I realized that McCombs was the right program for me during my Round 1 Preview Weekend. Up until then, I had not come face-to-face with McCombs students and had only had an outside view of what it would be like to go to the school. During that weekend, I was able to see our beautiful campus, meet those I’d be in class with, and attend a mock class. After that weekend, I knew I had found a new home at McCombs. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: My biggest accomplishment in my career was getting promoted from an analyst to an associate. I had worked very hard for several years for said promotion and it was a gratifying feeling for that work to be rewarded. Additionally, the milestone for me to get promoted was to build a full-scale fund-model from scratch that was later used for fundraising as well as a forecasting tool for management. Looking ahead two years, what would make your MBA experience at McCombs successful? My MBA experience would be considered a success if I am able to successfully find a new career that I am passionate about and feel fulfilled doing day-to-day. I also would like to be recognized as someone who was involved in the school and helped make the MBA experience for my classmates a positive one. The network I am building here is extremely important to me and is one I would hope to be able to lean on as I grow in my career. DON’T MISS: MEET THE TEXAS MCCOMBS MBA CLASS OF 2026
