What makes the case method so attractive as a means to learn and become a better manager? The case method is powerful because it replicates the ambiguity and fast judgment calls managers face daily. It also builds the communication and influence skills needed to lead diverse teams.

Aside from your classmates and cases, what was the key part of Harvard Business School’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? I chose HBS because it offers the strongest MBA platform with a truly institutionalized ecosystem around Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA). The faculty, alumni investors, and dedicated programming create a unique environment for aspiring operators to access mentorship, capital, and deal flow. For someone committed to ETA, that level of support is unmatched.

What course, club, or activity excites you the most at Harvard Business School? FIELD Global Immersion stands out because it challenges you to navigate new cultures and solve real problems alongside a team. It cultivates the kind of flexibility and perspective that makes you a stronger leader in any environment.

When you think of Harvard Business School, what is the first word that comes to mind? Why? Leadership. HBS is built around the idea that leaders are made through practice, debate, and real decision-making – not lectures. The case method, section experience, and broader ecosystem all reinforce a culture where students learn to think and act like leaders long before they ever hold the title.

Looking at your recruitment, what was the moment when you realized Harvard Business School was the right program for you? Why? I realized that Harvard Business School was the right program for me during undergrad, when many of the mentors and leaders I admired followed the Morehouse-to-HBS path. Their journeys showed me what the experience could unlock, not just professionally but personally. Speaking with alumni later only reinforced that view, because the rare mix of humility, clarity, and conviction they carried made it clear that HBS shapes leaders in a distinct and meaningful way.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: My biggest career accomplishment so far was leading an acquisition from end-to-end that increased our company’s revenue by nearly 50 percent year-over-year. I managed the deal from sourcing through integration, aligning teams, navigating diligence, and ensuring a smooth transition of the acquired company. It was the first moment I fully saw the impact disciplined execution and thoughtful leadership can have on a business.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far? My biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far has been joining the ETA Club leadership team and helping put on one of the largest ETA conferences in the world. The experience required coordinating speakers, sponsors, and logistics while representing the interests of hundreds of students and practitioners. It was a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a community that is central to my goals and to help strengthen a flagship event for the school.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into Harvard Business School’s MBA program? The best advice is to be clear about your purpose and honest about your story. HBS values applicants who understand their trajectory and can articulate why the MBA matters for them. Depth, reflection, and authenticity go much further than perceived perfection.
