Meet the MBA Class of 2026: Tami Chitashvili, INSEAD by: Jeff Schmitt on March 06, 2026 March 6, 2026 Copy Link Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Email Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Share on Reddit Tami Chitashvili INSEAD “A harmony of contradictions: artistic yet analytical, organized yet chaotic, emotional yet rational.” Hometown: Tbilisi, Georgia Fun Fact About Yourself: I’ve basically turned multitasking into my superpower. I listen to podcasts while walking, turn lunch into networking opportunities, and yes, I’m that person who answers emails during Zoom calls (sorry!). So when I finally try to relax, my brain immediately asks: Is there a way to do this more efficiently? Undergraduate School and Major: Tbilisi State University; BS of Science in Computer Technology Most Recent Employer and Job Title: Bank of Georgia, Product Owner INSEAD is one of the most culturally and professionally diverse MBA programs in the world. How do you see these global perspectives enhancing the value of your business education over the next year? My main motivation for pursuing an MBA at INSEAD is to tackle global challenges and make an impact on a worldwide scale. I believe today’s problems are complex and multifaceted; they require a deep understanding of different perspectives, cultures and systems. To truly understand them, we need to listen to different voices and see things from many angles. Learning in such a culturally and professionally diverse environment will help me see these challenges through various lenses. This exposure will not only open my mind to new ways of thinking, but also help me come up with better, more inclusive and longer-lasting solutions in my future work. Why did you choose a one-year program over a two-year program? How do you see an INSEAD MBA giving you an advantage in the marketplace? I’m someone who thrives in intense, fast-paced environments. I love pushing myself, taking on challenges, and staying fully engaged. That’s when I feel most fulfilled and energized. A one-year program like INSEAD’s is the perfect fit for me – it’s intense, efficient, and allows me to make the most of every moment. The biggest advantage INSEAD gives me is access to its amazing alumni network. Since I know exactly where I want to go in my career, I can connect with graduates who are already doing what I want to do. Having their guidance, support and connections will be huge for landing the right opportunities after graduation. Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of INSEAD’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? I value and appreciate things that are made with great dedication – where you can see excellence in every detail. At INSEAD, every interaction, every event, every message, the way the program is built, even the admissions process – everything was handled with care, high quality, and a strong sense of excellence. I had the opportunity to compare this to other admission processes, and INSEAD truly stood out in the way it does things with such high standards. This gave me full confidence that the learning experience at INSEAD would be just as exceptional. What course, club or activity excites you the most at INSEAD? There are so many exciting clubs at INSEA. With my wide range of interests, it’s a tough choice. I’m especially looking forward to joining the Technology Club. The people leading it seem incredibly talented, and I can’t wait to connect with others who love tech as much as I do. I’m also thrilled about the Wine Club, which might seem random, but it’s actually perfect for me. Georgia is known as the birthplace of wine – we’ve been making it for 8,000 years – so it feels natural to join. Plus, it’s a fun way to share part of my culture with classmates and learn about theirs. Some of the best conversations happen over a good glass of wine! What has been your first impression of the INSEAD MBA students and alumni you’ve met so far. Tell us your best INSEAD story so far. I’ve crossed paths with INSEAD MBA alumni several times and I’ve always been impressed by their sharp thinking and innovative mindset. I’m also part of a few chat groups with current students and they’ve been incredibly supportive and helpful. They’re constantly sharing advice, planning trips, and encouraging one another – I already feel like part of a big, friendly community. My absolute highlight was my admissions interview with an INSEAD alumnus who is the CEO of one of the most innovative startups in Georgia. Speaking with him and hearing his insights was truly inspiring. I really appreciated the opportunity to learn from someone so experienced, driven and forward-thinking. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: My greatest accomplishment was leading the transformation of a basic chatbot into a truly personalized AI assistant while working as a Product Owner at Bank of Georgia. Together with my team, we built something that could handle over 50 different services for clients and even give them helpful recommendations before they asked. What made this especially meaningful was when our AI assistant won a Global Finance Award this year. It was an incredible honor and validation of all the hard work we put into making something that genuinely helps people. What do you hope to do after graduation (at this point)? I’ve been fortunate to work on AI products over the past few years. I’m constantly amazed by what this technology can accomplish – it has the power to transform entire industries. After finishing my MBA, I want to lead AI-driven products at a company that’s making a real difference in the world, especially in areas like education, healthcare or helping the environment. What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into INSEAD’s MBA program? I’ve actually been getting this question a lot lately! My biggest piece of advice is to really dig deep and discover your own authentic story. Take time to explore who you are: what genuinely excites you, what you want to achieve, where you’re heading, and what kind of impact you want to make in the world. But don’t just think about it – live it. Have hobbies that matter to you, be an active part of your community, get involved in activities you care about, and volunteer for causes that resonate with you. INSEAD isn’t just looking for impressive resumes – they want to see people who are actively engaged with the world around them and have a clear sense of purpose. When your application reflects who you really are and what you truly want to accomplish, that passion comes through naturally – and that’s what makes you memorable. Basically, live your story, don’t just write it. DON’T MISS: MEET INSEAD’S MBA CLASS OF 2026 © Copyright 2026 Poets & Quants. All rights reserved.
