What makes Los Angeles such a great place to earn an MBA? Los Angeles consistently ranks as a top city for a diverse range of industries, well beyond entertainment. It is a hub for Health & Life Sciences, Technology & Innovation, Aerospace & Defense, International Trade & Logistics, and Fashion & Apparel. It is also featured on many lists as the best place for restaurants, live entertainment and sports, and tradeshows and conferences. Taken together LA is a perfect place for growing professionally while also enjoying a vibrant quality of life.

Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of USC Marshall’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? From the outset, USC Marshall demonstrates an unparalleled commitment to collaboration and to developing the best teammates and leaders. This dedication to fostering long-term and meaningful relationships is essential, especially in the era of AI. Even before classes begin, there are numerous opportunities to connect with future classmates and second-year students. Also, the first classes in Term 1 reflect these values and offer first-hand lessons that have a lasting impact. These early experiences fuel the powerful reputation of the “Trojan Network”, and created the conditions to build a life-long group of new old-friends.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at USC Marshall? Even before starting classes, it has already been a massive pleasure to be a part of Marshall Consulting and Strategy Club (MCSC). The entire leadership team, as well as its members, have been available, supportive and so generous with their time and insights. They organized highly relevant events and panels, connected with us frequently via Whatsapp/iMessage, and shared materials that would help us succeed in pre-MBA recruiting opportunities. They have been the biggest cheerleaders and mentors at this early stage in the MBA journey.

Looking at your recruitment, what was the moment when you realized that USC Marshall was the right program for you? Why? When reflecting on my post-graduation goals and looking at ideal organizations to join, I noticed that many had strong connections with USC and were home to thriving Marshall alumni. It became clear that this was a place that guides students with wisdom and creates exciting opportunities for professional growth.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: I had the massive honor of sharing actionable and informative life-saving insights by publishing a book, Healthy No Matter What: How Humans are Hardwired to Adapt, with Crown/Penguin Random House, along with authoring a related article for TIME Magazine.

What is your long-term career goal? I am obsessed with improving the health outcomes of patients at scale, by leveraging evidence and cutting-edge technology to deliver better diagnosis, more effective treatments and more efficient care. My long-term goal is to take on a leadership role at a major healthcare or life sciences company that achieves this vision globally.
